The childhood immunisations are carried out by our Practice Nurse when she is on duty at a time convenient to you.
It is necessary for a consent form to be signed by a parent of the child for EACH immunisation. If someone other than the parent is bringing/accompanying the child for the immunisation please contact the surgery to arrange signing of the consent form prior to the immunisation appointment.
CHILD VACCINATION SCHEDULE
At two months old:
- Diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio (DTaP/IPV) Haemophilus Influenza - type b (HIB) = DTaP/IPV/HIB = one injection
- Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine - PCV - one injection
At three months old:
- Diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (DTP) Polio Haemophilus Influenza type B (HIB) = DTaP/IPV/HIB = one injection
- Meningitis C (meningococcal Group C) (Men C) = one injection
At four months old:
- Diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (DTP) polio, Haemophilus Influenzae - type b (HIB) = DTaP/IPV/HIB = one injection
- Meningitis C (meningococcal Group C - Men C) = one injection
- Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) = one injection
At around 12 months old:
- Haemophilus Influenzae type b (HIB) Mengigitsi C (Men C) = HIB/Men C booster = one injection
At around 13 months old:
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German Measles) - MMR = one injection
- Pneumococcal conjugate Vaccine - PCV = one injection.
Three years 4 months to five years pld ( pre -school)
- Diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (DTP) Polio - dTaP/IPV or DTaP/IPV = one injection
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German Measles) - MMR = one injection
13 years to 18 years old:
- Diphtheria, Tetanus and polio - Td/IPV = one injection
